Ok so I bet your all wondering how the floor is coming. Well its being a bitch. We got the carpet torn up on Sunday....Man that was a horrible job, and it is still lying in the driveway. We are getting a truck this week so we can haul it away. We got the underlay ripped out and all the nails and staples out. We also ripped all the baseboards out.
As of right this minute we have most of the new flooring in, but we are stuck at a crucial point. I have ceramic floors in my hallway and it meets what will be the floating floor in the dinning room, but it meets on an angle. Thats not the problem what is, is the guy that did the renovations before we bought the house did a half ass job and nothing matches up neatly and we cant rip uo the ceramic. We are waiting for THE MAN'S brother to come over tonight and help fix this as he has done this type of flooring many times.
On another note I bought a new light fixture for the entrance area. It is going to look so nice. However we are facing yet another problem. I have an extension ladder and a step ladder. The step ladder is not near tall enough and the extension ladder well...no matt which way we situate it we still cant reach to install the light fixture. Looks as though we have to borrow a super tall step ladder from THE MAN'S workplace. So the light is also put on hold.
This brings us to the new TV entertainment unit. THE MAN is putting it together as I write this but it really does us no good as we cant set it up witht he tv and such as the flooring is not done. ARGGGHHHH. We also cant really do the baseboards untill the flooring is done. However I think THE MAN is going to start putting the baseboards on, atleast put the baseboards on the half of the flooring which is done.
Anyways that is where we are with the renevations, I have to get going and Ill keep you posted on how its going.
